Jackpotting ATMs has been a problem here in Britain for a number of years. It's now common for ATMs to display a notice advising customers not to use the machine if they notice anything suspicious, and to shield the keypad with their hand whilst entering their PIN, presumably to prevent any hidden camera from recording the keystrokes.
