Late afternoon reading
EntertainmentGeneralGeographyLondonPoliticsRepublican PartyScienceTelevisionTravelTrumpUrban planningMeetings and testing all day have put these on my list for reading tomorrow:
- The Atlantic's Carl Zimmer on epigenetics.
- New Republic's David Dayen saying AT&T has proved its critics right in only a week.
- London plans to spend £1.5 bn ($2 bn) to get enough trains on its four most-crowded lines just to keep up with demand.
- Jennifer Rubin says, contra the President, America is strong and he is weak.
- Andrew Sullivan says, fuck it, give Trump his wall.
- And pity the poor Trump Administration staffers who can't get dates in DC.
And with that, it's the weekend.

Interesting article on the London Underground. The Piccadilly Line desperately needs new rolling stock. The current carriages date back to 1973 and they are showing their age. I'm puzzled why it should take so long to replace them, though. When I lived in London in the early 1990s, the entire rolling stock on the Central Line was replaced in a matter of a few months.
