Too many things in my inbox
AviationBusinessChicagoCrimeEnvironmentGeneralGeographyLondonPoliticsRussiaSecurityTrumpUK PoliticsUS PoliticsWorkI probably won't have time to read all of these things over lunch:
- President Trump is repaying Vladimir Putin for his 2016 win right in front of us, while still avoiding the consequences of Russia's interference. That said, Putin has to wonder what else our security services know about him.
- Trump's bad behavior in Britain will poison relations between both countries for a long time.
- Resigning didn't get Scott Pruitt out of legal jeopardy.
- Rent control is becoming an important issue in local politics. But here in Chicago, condo buildings (including one where I own an apartment) are resisting deconversions.
- Boeing's forthcoming 797 will fill the mid-size, mid-range gap previously occupied by the 757 and 767.
- Given how many email-password databases have been hacked recently, don't believe anyone who phishes you even if they have your password.
Share that last one with your non-technical friends. It's pretty clever.

Apropos of nothing in your list, but in the spirit of sharing stuff that may interest you, I learned at the weekend that Transport for London has published a new map of the London Tube system annotated with walking times between stations. There's also a version of the map that shows steps between stations rather than times. You can find the maps under the heading "Walking steps and time between stations" at the TfL web site here: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/

David, thanks for the link. Definitely something I'll use on my next trip. Though I already know that it can take less time to walk between Leicester Square and Covent Garden than it can take to walk from street level down to the Covent Garden platforms.
