The events in Venezuela earlier today are a bit more important than the soft launch of a beta blog engine's dev-test environment.
Still, if you're curious what I've been working on for (checks Git log) more than five years, here is the Daily Parker's next iteration.
A big caveat:
It's still in development. I've gotten to the minimal feature set where I feel comfortable letting people play with it, but it still has a ways to go before I can move this blog off BlogEngine.NET. I still need to add search capabilities, build out the production environment and CI pipelines, and stabilize some of the existing features and design. I hope to launch this month; but life and my real job will likely intervene.
If you go there, you will find bugs. You will get annoyed. You will encounter things you think could work better. Please: let me know all these things (except for broken links; I've only migrated a fraction of the existing posts for now). You're looking at 160 Jira cases and a few thousand Git commits but there are hundreds more Jira cases and thousands more Git commits to go.
Also, I didn't start the project thinking it would be just a blog, so the infrastructure and security I've built will support a lot more functionality than most people will see. So even after it's a stable blog engine, I've got a dozen or so epics with tens of stories each to build out in 2026.
So, check it out, let me know what works and what doesn't. Except for broken links: again, I know, that's what "subset" means.
