We got lucky last night with clear skies and cool temperatures, giving us a great view of the lunar eclipse:

Cassie was less impressed and spent the time digging for...something.

Today I'm walking 25 km for pizza. I've done this before, and I'll do it again.

One of the advantages of being a very early riser is that I got to see the eclipse from Cambridge as the Moon was setting. When I got up around 04:30 (GMT+01:00), there were still clouds in the western sky, but by the time I had finished my morning ablutions, the sky was clear, and I was able to watch the Moon all but vanish during maximum eclipse, save for a thin sliver. I didn't notice any red colour, but the Moon *was* very low by this time, and the sky was beginning to brighten slightly around it, even though sunrise was still 45 minutes away.
